Reading for the time we are in.

The Qur'an speaks about the end with a frequency that should give a careful reader pause. There is more language in the Book about what is coming than there is about what has already happened. To read the Qur'an seriously is, eventually, to face this.

The work in this category is not prediction. The Qur'an does not give dates. What it gives is a structure: how systems of falsehood form, how the Dajjāl arrives not as a single figure but as a system, how the Mahdī is being made now in conditions the world is not watching, and what the believer is asked to become while there is still time.

This category is in active development. Expect new work as I read further into the eschatological architecture of the Qur'an — and as the present continues to make that work harder to ignore.
