Surahs.
كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ
"A blessed Book We have sent down to you, that they may reflect on its verses."
The Qur'an reads itself, surah by surah.
Tadabbur — patient reflection on the text — is what the Qur'an asks of its readers. Not commentary about the Qur'an, but reflection within it. These series are my attempt to do exactly that: to walk a surah from beginning to end, verse by verse, and let the text disclose its own architecture.
Each surah is a complete world. Sūrat Yāsīn opens with two letters and closes with the One who said "be." Between those two points there is a structure — a logic the Qur'an built into its own arrangement. The work here is to slow down enough to see it.
Read in order. Each Part of a series is a verse range; each verse range is what the surah itself groups together. The Qur'an chose those boundaries before any commentator did.
